GTA 5 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
GTA 5 will coming out in 17th september of this year. We all are excited about the first trailer. There will be a lot of new functions. Well usually it will be released first on the consoles PS 3 and Xbox 360. Then in a short time period it should come to PC. Estimated a half year later. We are not sure, if it will be developed for the new Nintendo Wii U!
But what are the min.GTA 5 system requirements ? We expect only a small difference between GTA4 and V. Rockstar Games uses the same Rage Engine again. The consoles are the same generation too. One thing is sure, it didn’t run very smooth last time, and we think GTA 5 will be better optimized! Let’s take a look on the specs:
GTA 5 System Requirements for PC

- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 3 GHz or similar
- RAM: 3 GB and +
- HDD: 30 GB free disk space +
- Graphics: 512 MB Graphics Memory +
- Sound Card: DirectX 9 Compatible
- DirectX: Version 9
- Supported Graphics Cards (GPU): Nvidia 8600 + or ATI 3870 +
Minimum Grand Theft Auto V requirements:
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 Ghz or equivalent
- Memory/RAM: 2 GB Ram
- Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 7900 or 512MB ATI X1900
- Hard Disk Space: 30 – 40 GB
- Operating System: Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista SP1 or Windows 7 SP1
Recommended system requirements:
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 3.66GHz or equivalent AMD
- RAM: 4 GB
- Video Card (GPU): NVIDIA GTX 480 or similar ATI
- Hard Disk Space: 40 GB free HDD
- Operating System: Vista SP 2 or Window 7 – 8 SP 1
NOTE: Those are our estimated PC requirements. The official specs will be published soon, so check this once in a while.
Xbox360 system requirements
GTA requeriments for the Xbox 360 must be as much as the same There are discussions in the communities. Can the Xbox360 handle it? Rockstar could develop a much better Grand Theft Auto game, when the consoles and pc’s had better hardware power. Don’t forget, it’s still a commercial thing. They have to sale a lot of copies and this requires a optimization for the main part of potencial costumers.
PS 3 system requirements
There is no doubt that the PS 3 will run the GTA 5 game smoothly. But we don’t expect, that the next GTA after GTA V and the dlc’s will be released on this generation of consoles!

i think you can run it on minimum settings. it depends also on your CPU and graphic card. if they are good you can maybe run it on mid – settings. but you should stop all backround and other activities on your pc, anti-virus programm etc. for better performance.

Sure, but remember that RAM is not the only thing that you need in large amounts to play this game. You need to have a fast graphics card and a very decent Processor. GTA 5 will probably not play well on laptops unless they are built for gaming. As long as you have a desktop with an i3 or above with a non built in graphics card you ought to be fine.

btw even for the GTA 4 they said 512 graphics card enough but when i put everything on maximum it says that 1700 mb / 973 so it warns me that its dangerous for my system .. point is, 1 gb video card is not enough either
but on high i cna run it smoothly even with a b950 CPU and thats admirable. i wont even bother purchasing gta 5. seems useless .

- If you were a mad gamer buddy, you’d DEFINITELY have a PC with much more solid specs than that. Who still uses 2GB DDR2 ram anyway these days? Not to mention lack of discrete graphics? pssh.

You’re computer has much better specs then my pc. When we think about it, GTA 5 won’t need more performance then GTA 4, because rockstar games learned from the last pc port issues and it will be much better optimized. They also use the same physic engine. Maybe just a little bit more performance.

About the i7 920: i would not buy it. the i5 2500k is fast enough for now. i would wait.
What will be the predicted FPS on my cousin’s computer? He is pestering me to post in this forum and learn. So I put his question to you – and also ask whether his computer can run it smoothly or not – BTW predict the same for me too – I just want an approximate guess.

Anyone tell me if AMD Opteron or Intel Core i7 is better? I will buy any one of this – so please give me an accurate info. My cousin’s upgrading too( he definitely needs an upgrade). Oh and BTW, GTA IV and GTA EFLC ran super smooth at 45FPS on my cousin’s system at medium settings. So what will the predicted FPS for him? That’s all I want to know.(keep in mind everyone, the requirements are NOT GONNA BE INSANE. Rockstar will NOT RELEASE A GAME THAT 95% of the PC gamers around the world cannot play)

In general, AMD is cheaper but Intel is slightly faster.
Rockstar can release a game wich 60% of the world cant play, or with low specs. they always have the console versions. But look at crysis. in the begin there was like 20% of gamers who could play it smoothly.
But don’t worry. if you could play EFLC with 45fps, gta5 cant be that much of a problem.
